inline with our effort towards collecting the members information Mr.
Rajesh Tikar has created excellent database file. This file has been
uploaded on the group website.

Kindly update the data (like name, current location etc) in the file
on the link below.

This shall help us in the long run to form individual city-wise or
regional chapters. This will also give you an idea about your alumni
friends in your area. One might also be able to get the references for
job etc from exiting Alumni working in the organizations.

Alumni Meet - 11th July 2009

COETA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

 

Date: 31^st July 2009.

Dear COETIANS,

 

The hatrick of our alumni meet at Mumbai on 11^th July 2009 was special for many reasons. It was done, with increasing success, for the third consecutive year. It was initiated and managed by a much younger team. And the effect showed. The spirit of participation by members had grown in numbers and much more in their involvement. The meet fell short of time as more and more COETIANS came up to talk their hearts out. The effort was worth it.

 

What made the event further more memorable were its achievements. We received firm commitments from many, of taking-up responsibilities in various alumni activities. In fact, a team of alumni members to look into the need of the college for setting up a Finishing School was formed on the spot and its action plan decided.

 

Most thrilling part was everybody's resolve to arrange a GRAND SILVER JUBILEE CELEBERATION of our college at AKOLA on 23^rd & 24th January 2010. The moment this was proposed, the atmosphere at the gathering got charged and the celebration mode was turned on. Each and every one present confirmed their attendance along with a promise to bring along most of their class/batch mates. What more - - FAMILIES would be welcome at the occasion.

 

Things have already started rolling. Discussions have already been held with the college management. Active alumni members have begun with brainstorming and meticulous planning sessions. Needless to say that anybody interested in being a part of managing the grand event are wholeheartedly welcome. Hi All, a COETen has done it again...

Mr. Dinesh Aherrao (COETA - 1996 Production Engg) has received the most prestigious Udyog Ratan Award by The Council of Economic Growth and Research (CEGR).

Dinesh is working as a CEO of Halan Paper Convertors (I) Pvt. Ltd. Pune. Being the head of organisation, his major focous is mainly on Business Development, Product development, Process Re-engineering and modifications etc. Halen Paper Convertors is a leader in manufacturing the Packaging Items Like - Paper Cores and Sleeves, Composite Containers, Paper Cans, Edge Protectors, PVC Cores, Laminated and Coated papers, Tissue Paper, Metal Conical Pails etc.


Few of the latest products developed by Dinesh and his team are

01) Paper Sleeves for Metal Industries: These the sleeves made out of paper and used as a core in steel/ GI/ Aluminium sheet Rolls weighing around 6-7 Metric tonns. Earlier these people were using Metal Spools. Paper Sleeves are advantageous as cost is very low and are eco-friendly.

02) Composite Containers: these are cans made of paper but still LEAK PROOF. One can fill semi liquid material also in these cans as the inner wall is made out of aluminium foil. These cans are widely used in Snacks, Health drinks, Oil and grease etc

03) Glass Sleeves: These are the sleeves made out of paper and used in Glass Industries to wind the glass fibre. These sleeves are going in water and kept at 150 degrees in oven for 8 times in a sequence. These are the import substitute for existing users.

"RASHTRIYA UDYOG RATAN AWARD” is an national level award for Exceptional Contribution and Individual Achievement in the respective field awarded by by Indian Organization For Business Research and Development (IOBRD) in association with Economic Growth Society Of India (EGSI) Delhi. The award was distributed during the National Seminar on Individual Achievement and Social Development on 26th. July, 2009 at PSK Auditorium New Delhi. The award consists of a Trophy and Certificate of Excellence.
