'The Alumni Lecture Series' is a program by the Alumni Association of College of Engineering & Technology, Akola (COETA - AA); which presents alumni an opportunity to give back to their alma-mater and share practical advice with their fellow graduates, current students and prospects.
Knowledge is best spread by a lecture from an expert. On August 14, 2010; one day workshop was arranged at COETA by its distinguished alumni.
The students learned about higher education options & career opportunities in research from Dr. Sunil Dhole (Chem 2000). Final year students from all streams were trained in essential proficiencies like 'Resume Writing & Interview Skills' by Mr. Amol Kawre (Chem 2000) & Mr. Nitin Mutha (Poly 2000).
Production Department Students learned about the 'Virtual Reality Techniques for Self Learning' from Dr Shirbhate (Prod 1997). School of Architecture listened to various aspects of designing from professional architects - Industrial Design by Mr. Nilesh Rahate (Arch - 2005), Transport design by Mr. Abhijit Bhagat, Conservative Architecture by Mr. Dinesh Gawande (Arch 2007).
The day was also marked by donation of Rs 50,000 by Reliance Industries Ltd (represented by Mr. Abhay Gawande - a fellow Alumni of COETA) to the Polymer Department IPI sub-chapter Akola.
We look forward to each of you to participate, to lead, to engage & to inspire !

Dear Nitin sir,
First of all I am thankful to our Alumni association for arranging the guest lectures like that for the final year and third year student.
Frankly speaking that the program was superb.
The program which was conducted by Sunil sir and Amol sir in room no. 204 for the chemical students was the best one and also the program which was conducted by youself and Amol sir in the seminar hall followed by the interaction session was awesome.
Honestly writing that i didnt know that how to write a perfect resume and also dont know the importance of that resume. I promise that the thing which i have learnt from the last guest lecture, I will implement that things in my
life.
Finally Concluding by just writing that we want your help and guidance in future because you peoples are just like our Guru's.
Thank you once again to all Alumni association member's for the program.

Subject: COETA Alumni Lecture Series

Dear COETA Alumni,

We have started ‘Alumni Lecture Series’ from last year (2008-09). This program is very valuable to departments in the college, both from the standpoint of bringing invigorating speakers who will enhance the intellectual and cultural life of the college and existing students, but also by providing departments with opportunities to recognize and involve their successful alumni. If you wish to participate kindly reply to us in enclosed format.

Accommodation in Akola will be arranged by college. For any further clarification please get in touch with me or Abhay (abhay.asalkar@technopak.com)

So, if you’d like to share your knowledge and work experience with a roomful of eager learners, consider serving as a guest lecturer. COETA regularly welcomes alumni to their classrooms for both one-time and return engagements. And you’ll enjoy a trip back to the COETA — on the other side of the podium!

Thanks
